The U.S. News & World Report currently ranks Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law as number 38 in its law school rankings. ASU Law currently has a full-time enrollment of 576 students; it costs a little over $19,000 a year for in-state students, and $32,000 a year for out-of-state students. In 2009, the school received over 2,500 applications and had an acceptance percentage of approximately 25%. For the incoming class of 2012, the median LSAT score was 161 and the median GPA was 3.6.
Shelli Soto, ASU Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, says there are many reasons why Arizona State College of Law is special, and talks specifically about Phoenix, the city in which the school is located, as well as the academic opportunities available to students. She says that the energy the school offers its students is a great reason to consider Arizona State College of Law.
When it comes to choosing a law school, Dean Soto suggests that students do their research when applying so they can make the most appropriate and rewarding school choices. She also recommends spending time reviewing and editing the documents you will submit to law schools with your application so that admissions officers get the opportunity to see the best version of yourself.
Matthew Binford, the student perspective for Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, says that his favorite aspect of the program is the school’s willingness to allow him to tailor his education to his personal interests. He also talks about how the ASU Law student experience and the many student-run organizations make it a rewarding and unique place to obtain a legal education.
